Old Brown Sweater Weather
He said he was all water that day. She said her sweater could make them hot. “That old brown thing?” he said. “Time will make a thing old.” she said.
They each long to make the other see, to make the other look…as if they could.
“You can use up all my down side.” She said.
“I like the sound of that. Can I use up all your sweater, first?” He said.
Then they each said how they use up all their hot water in no time. She said how she could long for more hot water like she could long for more time. He said he could see how people may do that.
“You, no?” She said.
“I long for more—old—weather. More time in old weather. I long for water most know. For time and number and a call from my first people to ‘come on down, now.’” He said.
“Word.” She said.
“A a a, I had more.” He said.
They do their thing as two people do. The old sweater sound with him in it. Know and call, they said. Know how to write and call people, she said. Know day time and call out the weather, he said.
“Come, be a number.” He said.
“What number?” She said.
“One, or two. Find the number.” He said.
She is down to find the number. She said “First!”
“Two,” He said “is the number.”
She is in the sweater now. She is hot, but she is in it. She could long to make the sweater sound. “Brown sweater sound.” She said.
“Brown. Sweater. Sound.” He said.
They said it.
She said “Find from this or that word what I said. Find what the weather is. Find out that you are in the sweater. Find out that you are old. Now find old people. Find people first. Do their time. Do your time. Use up all your time in the sweater. Some day could go by, and be some day.”
Now he is out to find the weather. She is out to find her sweater. I see two and I write two, they may see one and write one. You see a number. What number? What old brown sweater? What is the weather? Some know. They will go about their day, their time. Look, we will find some old brown sweater weather.
